When my 7-year-old Goldendoodle, Omi, started drinking more water and slowing down, I didn’t think much of it. His vet said everything looked “normal.” Months later, we discovered hip dysplasia that could have been caught earlier. I felt like I’d failed him — even though I’d done everything right.
That moment changed everything. We started Omi Health to give pet parents what I didn’t have — real insight into how their pets are doing between visits. Because care shouldn’t come from guesswork or guilt. It should come from understanding, love, and the confidence that you’re doing right by your best friend.

When I met Sindu in Grad School, we bonded over the same frustration — a vet care system that left us feeling powerless and our pets underserved. My own dog, Charlie, had struggled with chronic ear infections that only got resolved after months of self-tracking and trial. We set out to build the kind of care we wished existed — proactive, data-driven, and deeply human. A system that empowers pet parents with real insight and empathy, so every pet can live longer, feel better, and truly thrive.
